The Omnivent Letterbox Ventilation System—also known as a “drying wall”—offers exceptional flexibility and drying performance, making it ideal for storing and conditioning diverse batches of produce. By utilising the pallet openings of storage boxes as air ducts, this system ensures precise ventilation control per row and per layer, delivering perfect air distribution and superior drying characteristics.
With ventilation capacity targeted at selective pallet openings, the system is particularly well-suited for operations where product variety is high and batch sizes are smaller, as row lengths are typically limited to 8–10 boxes.
Key Features:
- High flexibility with row-by-row and layer-by-layer airflow control
- Excellent drying performance and even air distribution
- Ventilation capacity directly at selected pallet openings
- Suitable for diverse products in small to medium batches
- Can integrate air treatment such as heating within the pressure wall
How It Works:
Fans create overpressure in the pressure wall and pallet openings, pushing air through the bottom of each box and evenly through the product. Flaps on each pallet opening allow operators to control airflow precisely. Air treatment—such as heating—occurs within the pressure wall before reaching the produce. Inlet hatches are located above the fans, while outlet hatch positions are adjustable.
Applications:
- Onion sets
- Seed potatoes
- Garlic
