Linus is a medium-early potato variety for processing into French fries and combines an extremely high yield potential with very good processing quality. A uniform sorting of the long oval and large tubers as well as a low sensitivity to damage ensure a high processing proportion of the harvested material.
A starch content of 16% and low levels of reducing sugars produce good baking results. Linus is also suitable as a long-term storage variety due to its low germination rate.
