On 28 July 2026, GB Potatoes and Branston Ltd will host the Tesco Low Carbon Concept Farm Visit at Laburnum House, Main Road, Langrick, Boston, Lincolnshire (PE22 7AN), bringing together growers, industry professionals, and stakeholders for an exclusive on-farm event focused on the future of sustainable potato production.

Hosted with the kind permission of farmer Paul Grant, the event will provide a unique opportunity to see firsthand the innovative work being undertaken to establish a carbon-neutral potato rotation system. Attendees will explore how integrated crop rotations, efficient resource use, and improved soil management practices can help reduce agriculture's environmental footprint while maintaining productivity and profitability.

The visit will feature demonstrations and discussions on:

  • Building a carbon-neutral potato production system.
  • Improving soil health and soil biology.
  • Efficient use of natural resources throughout the crop rotation.
  • Diversification strategies and integrated farming approaches.
  • Sustainable production practices that support long-term resilience and food security.

The wider rotation system will also be showcased with contributions from Greenyard (peas), Haygate (wheat), and TH Clements (brassicas and leeks).
