Haith, a UK-based manufacturer of vegetable handling systems, will attend Potato Europe 2025 with its European representative, SWP Machinery. The company will present the 2026 Rota-Tip TE (top eject) at stand VD10.

The updated version has been developed for the European market, where narrower boxes are used compared to the UK. The design has also been adapted for easier transport and installation, with a reduced footprint to fit on a standard HGV trailer and the addition of forklift pockets.

The 2026 model is fitted with a new discharge elevator, which can be specified with a rubber or PVG PVC belt, depending on the working environment. It includes oversize external bearings and an energy-efficient SEW drive with anti-rollback technology. External bearings are designed for easier cleaning and maintenance, while fixed guards and safety beams allow for quicker installation.

The Rota-Tip was first manufactured in 2011 to provide a high-capacity tipping solution that fully empties boxes. It won the Innovation category in the 2022 Queen's Award for Enterprise. The design rotates around a centre pivot, ensuring the weight of the box is not lifted and preventing strain on the machine or the box. A continental web forms a lid on the box during rotation to reduce crop damage.

The system operates without hydraulics, removing the risk of oil contamination. Its high-efficiency motors only run during the tipping sequence, in contrast to hydraulic tippers, where motors run continuously, resulting in reduced power usage.

Duane Hill, Managing Director at Haith:

"Potato Europe is one of the highlights of our year and we're looking forward to teaming up with SWP Machinery to introduce visitors to our latest box tippler and talk to them about their needs and how our expansive range of vegetable handling solutions can help them."

"Around 95 percent of United Kingdom supermarket potato suppliers use a Rota-Tip, and the company aims to expand its presence in Europe by adapting the machine for continental box sizes."

Haith and SWP Machinery will present the 2026 Rota-Tip TE at Potato Europe on 3 and 4 September in Lelystad, the Netherlands, at stand VD10.
