Mr Chips Ltd is a New Zealand–based potato processor offering frozen and chilled potato products—including premium chips, wedges, and kumara (sweet potato) products—from paddock to plate via a fully integrated, field-to-fork model.
With origins over 50 years ago as a small frozen-chip producer, the company grew into an iconic brand supplying both domestic and export markets.
In 2010, it was acquired by Simplot, then in 2013 ownership returned to local hands through the Balle Bros Group, which supplies over 85 % of its potatoes from farms in Pukekohe, Waikato, Hawke’s Bay, and Canterbury.
