Starch Expo 2026

STARCH EXPO 2026, officially known as the 20th Shanghai International Starch and Starch Derivatives Exhibition, will take place from 15–17 June 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), Shanghai, China.

Organized by the China Starch Industry Association and Shanghai Sinoexpo Informa Markets International Exhibition Co. Ltd, the exhibition is recognized as one of Asia-Pacific’s leading trade shows dedicated to the starch, starch derivatives, and processing industries. Celebrating its 20th anniversary under the theme “Boundary-Breaking,” the event aims to create a global platform connecting raw material suppliers, technology providers, equipment manufacturers, food companies, and industry professionals.

The exhibition focuses on the complete starch industry value chain, covering starches, modified starches, starch sugars, enzymes, fermentation materials, potato products, food ingredients, biodegradable materials, and functional nutrition applications. Visitors will also explore advanced processing technologies, powder handling systems, smart manufacturing equipment, environmental protection solutions, separation technologies, packaging machinery, laboratory testing systems, and food processing equipment. The event reflects the rapid transformation of China’s starch industry, driven by increasing demand for low-GI foods, resistant starch, health-focused ingredients, and sustainable bio-based materials.

STARCH EXPO 2026 will be co-located with several major industry exhibitions including Hi & Fi Asia-China 2026, Healthplex Expo & Natural & Nutraceutical Products China 2026, ProPak China 2026, and FoodPack China 2026. Together, these concurrent exhibitions are expected to create an integrated sourcing and networking platform covering ingredients, health nutrition, processing, packaging, and smart manufacturing technologies. The combined exhibitions are projected to attract more than 120,000 professional visitors and over 2,500 exhibitors from around the world across approximately 200,000 square meters of exhibition space. 

A major highlight of the event is the concurrent industry conference program, including the World Starch Industry Congress and multiple technical forums focused on health nutrition, functional foods, sustainable manufacturing, fermentation technologies, food innovation, and future starch applications. International experts, researchers, and business leaders will discuss emerging trends such as resistant starch, low-GI products, sports nutrition, biodegradable materials, and intelligent processing technologies. These forums are designed to promote innovation, global cooperation, and knowledge exchange across the starch and food industries.
