CRA-W - Centre wallon de Recherches agronomiques - is a public agricultural research center in Wallonia, Belgium, that conducts agronomic research, provides laboratory services, technical advice, crop trials, agricultural innovation, product analysis, and supports farmers, breeders, horticulturists, foresters, and agri-food operators. The center focuses on precision agriculture, livestock systems, risk management, product quality, soil, biodiversity, organic farming, crop protection, and sustainable production. CRA-W additionally offers decision-support systems, experimental crop and animal facilities, analytical services, training, certifications, knowledge, and agricultural reference materials for both professionals and the general public.

CRA-W conducts research and provides technical support in the areas of potato culture, disease control, organic potato production, sustainable crop protection, and low-input production methods. Its historical activity includes the establishment of a research station dedicated to enhancing potato farming in the Haute Ardenne region in 1937, which was chosen because the altitude was less conducive to disease development in potatoes. CRA-W's current potato-related projects include research on alternatives to copper-based fungicides for organic potato production, late blight management with Phytophthora infestans, laboratory and field trials, and collaboration with sector partners such as FIWAP and other agricultural research and advisory organisations.

Founded from the former Belgian State agricultural laboratories, CRA-W traces its origins to 1872. It later evolved through several agricultural research stations, including plant pathology, entomology, plant improvement, dairy research, forestry, phytotechnics, and potato research. The centre became part of the Walloon regional agricultural research structure after the transfer of agricultural competences to the Walloon Region, became a Walloon public-interest organization in 2002, and officially took the name CRA-W, Centre wallon de Recherches agronomiques, in 2003.
