Agristo Masa Pvt Ltd is a 50:50 joint venture formed in 2019 by India's Wave Group and Belgium's Agristo NV.
The factory, located near Mahmoodpur in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, began operations in 2022, initially manufacturing dehydrated potato flakes with an annual capacity of around 7,500 tons. In March 2025, the joint venture announced a substantial expansion, investing an extra ₹750 crore to establish a new frozen French fries production line.
This brings the total expenditure to above ₹1,000 crore. Once completed (estimated in two years), the facility will have an annual capacity of approximately 80,000 tonnes, and the workforce will increase from 150 to 300 employees.
Agristo Masa collaborates closely with over 2,500 local farmers, promoting superior cultivars such as Chipsona and Lady Rosetta, precision planting, soil testing, mechanization, and a guaranteed buyback. These programs have doubled potato yields—from 17 to 32 tonnes per hectare—resulting in a 50% increase in farmer income in the region.
The plant serves both domestic Indian markets and export locations such as North America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Japan.
