Tummers and Callens unite to revolutionize potato processing through the E2E (Emission-to-Energy) concept — a bold step toward a fully sustainable, emission-free future.
Tummers and Callens Partner to Drive Sustainable Innovation in Emission-Free Potato Processing

Tummers Food Processing Solutions and Callens proudly announce a strategic partnership for the further development of Tummers’ groundbreaking E2E (Emission-to-Energy) concept. This collaboration marks a logical and powerful step toward the future of emission-free potato processing.
Tummers, with its deep-rooted expertise in the potato processing industry, and Callens, a specialist in thermal energy solutions, utilities, and steam systems, share a common vision of sustainability and innovation. Their partnership creates a unique synergy where knowledge, experience, and ambition come together with the goal of making a structural contribution to reducing emissions in the production of potato flakes and beyond.
The first results of this collaboration will become visible within Tummers’ E2E concept, in which efficiency, circularity, and energy recovery are central. Callens adds advanced technologies for energy generating, heat integration, and steam management; all essential components for the envisioned “lights-off factory”: a production facility that, once started, runs autonomously on sustainable energy, without emissions or unnecessary energy consumption.
Lennaert van Dijk, CEO of Tummers Group:
"This collaboration is no coincidence, but a logical step. With Callens as our partner, we combine our expertise in potato processing with their in-depth knowledge of energy and steam. Together, we’re taking a major step toward our ultimate goal: an emission-free, fully automated factory."
Bert De Gryse, Technical Director at Callens:
"Tummers and Callens share the same vision for the future: making industrial processes smarter, more sustainable, and more energy-efficient. Our collaboration is complementary and will have a significant impact on the industry and possibly beyond."
In the coming period, both companies will work closely together on the first implementations within existing and new customer projects. Further details on the technical applications and results will follow soon through official media channels.
