Start of 2025 Potato Starch Campaign: First Deliveries to Avebe in Gasselternijveen

Last week marked the start of the 2025 campaign at potato starch manufacturer Avebe. Over the coming months, potatoes will be delivered six days a week to Royal Avebe’s factories, where they will be processed into potato starch and potato protein. These ingredients are used in (plant-based) foods, packaging materials, construction products, and animal feed.

The factory in Gasselternijveen, Drenthe, has, as every year, been the first to begin processing. The Ter Apelkanaal site will follow next week, along with the German factories in Dallmin and Lüchow.

Planting conditions and the growing season were generally favorable this year, and the crops are in good condition.
