The Washing Drum (VWT) is designed for thorough cleaning of field and root crops transported by flume flow. It effectively removes soil, debris, and other impurities that adhere to the crops during harvesting and handling. Depending on the processing stage, the VWT can be used as a pre-washer, main washer, or final/post washer, offering flexibility within various production lines.
The machine consists of a rotor and a robust base frame, ensuring stable and efficient operation. The drum is divided into three main sections:
- Feeding unit: Receives crops from the flume or conveyor and ensures even distribution inside the drum.
- Washing unit: Gently agitates and washes the crops as they move through the rotating drum, using water flow and mechanical motion to loosen and remove soil and debris.
- Dewatering unit: Allows excess water to drain off before the crops are discharged for further processing or inspection.
The VWT’s modular design allows easy integration into existing washing systems, ensuring consistent cleaning performance while minimizing crop damage.
