Taste of Maine is a Maine-based firm that produces kettle-cooked potato chips from locally farmed potatoes in Aroostook County, a well-known potato-growing region in the US. The firm is building a large-scale potato chip manufacturing plant at the old Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine to serve area potato farming, food processing, and agricultural supply chain industries.

Bruce Sargent founded the firm, which works directly with Maine's potato industry and local farms to supply potatoes for kettle chip and snack manufacture. The factory is intended to produce locally farmed round white and russet potatoes into kettle-cooked potato chips for the retail, wholesale, private label, and food distribution sectors in the United States.

Taste of Maine Potato Chip Company represents a growing investment in Maine’s potato processing sector, with plans for expanded chip production capacity, packaging operations, and employment opportunities tied to the regional agricultural economy. Industry reports indicate the plant is being developed with multiple kettle cooking lines and modern food processing infrastructure to support future production growth.

The new facility is designed as a 96,000 square-foot potato processing and snack manufacturing plant featuring automated warehousing systems, advanced manufacturing equipment, and food processing infrastructure built to meet current construction standards and SQF food safety requirements. Located on a 30-acre site at the Loring Commerce Center, the project also includes space for future expansion and a planned solar farm supporting long-term operational sustainability. Construction began in early 2025, with building completion targeted by the end of 2025 and production expected to begin in 2026.
