Snack Brands Australia

Company Description

Snackbrands Australia, founded in 1953, is a well-known snacking firm in Australia with a history spanning 70 years. The company offers an iconic portfolio of chips and corn-based snacks.

Its brands include Thins (thin-cut potato chips in multiple flavours), Samboy (crinkle-cut potato crisps), CC’s (flavoured tortilla chips), Cheezels, Kettle, The Natural Chip Company, Jumpy’s, French Fries, and more Snack Brands.

Snackbrands Australia has spent decades developing popular and savory snacks, like the original corn chip, CC's, debuted in 1982, and the beloved Cheezels, established in 1971. The company has continued to innovate with new products such as the kangaroo-shaped Jumpy's, which debuted in 2001, and the growth of the Natural Chip Company in 2012.

Founded in 1998 following a divestment of snack brands under the then-Campbell’s/Smith’s restructuring, the company is now owned by German-based Intersnack, after previously being acquired by Universal Robina in 2016.
