The DSV is an automatically and on-demand operated swivel jet used exclusively for spraying or rinsing silos, railcars, trucks, and storage areas with water. It is remotely controlled from a control station, in some cases via video monitoring instead of direct visual observation.
The DSV is mounted onto a flange connection of a sluice water line with a gasket. A braked three-phase gear motor swivels the machine in the vertical plane. Another three-phase gear motor rotates the nozzle tube of the rotary unit in the horizontal plane.
The swivel range of both rotational movements is mechanically unlimited. Inductive proximity switches, however, limit the rotation to 360° to prevent damage or tearing of the electrical supply cables.
Key Features:
- The DSV mainly consists of a nozzle tube, two mounted gears, two geared motors, proximity switches, and a curved pipe connection.
- The DSV is installed at the desired location using a mounting element.
- The rotary drives of the DSV are controlled either via a coordinate switch or by using a keyboard.
