InterAgra’s Wooden Boxes NL Standard are premium crates designed for efficient storage and transport of agricultural produce such as potatoes, onions, carrots, and similar crops. They combine durability, thoughtful design, and adaptability, making them ideal for both traditional storage and modern ventilation-based systems. Crafted for longevity and versatility, these wooden boxes are a smart investment for farmers, distributors, and exporters alike.
Key Features
- Strong, Proven Construction: Built with durability in mind, these boxes are made from spruce wood, kiln-dried to about 15% moisture content. This controlled drying process minimizes warping, shrinkage, and internal stresses, ensuring long-lasting performance.
- Fastening and Structural Reinforcement: All major joints are secured with ring-shank nails and reinforced using PVCA glue for extra strength. Metal components, including nails, screws, and fittings, are galvanized to prevent rust and corrosion, making the boxes reliable even in demanding storage environments.
- Ventilation Suitability: Specially designed for standard ventilation systems and traditional storage setups, these boxes allow passive airflow between crates. The wooden slats ensure proper circulation, keeping produce like potatoes, carrots, and onions in optimal condition. Note: Not intended for forced ventilation systems.
- Custom Branding & Labelling: Each box features a printed black rectangle for easy placement of labels, batch numbers, or notes. Additionally, companies can choose to have their logo printed on the boxes for branding and identification purposes.
- Export & Transport-Friendly: These wooden boxes are certified for international export. To reduce shipping costs, they can be delivered in a dismantled, flat-packed form for easy assembly upon arrival.
- Extended Lifespan: With proper use and storage, these boxes are built to last 15 years or more, offering excellent long-term value and reliability.
Applications
- Long-term storage and ripening of potatoes, onions, carrots in barns, cellars, or other ventilated stores.
- Transport of root crops from farm to market, or from field to storage, using trucks or containers (especially when they can be loaded/disassembled).
- Use in agricultural cooperatives, export operations, or commercial farms needing large volume, durable crates.
